Baking Kolaches for the Festival

The appreciation Thanksgiving Dinner for the members of the SCNCS will be held Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Eagle's Club, 107 North Denver, Hastings, Nebraska. The dinner is free to all paid-up members.

St. Martin's Church - Loucky
Open House
1 to 4 PM, Sunday and Monday, May 24 and 25, 2026
An open house of the historic St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Deweese, Nebraska will be held this coming Memorial Day weekend. The hours are 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26. The church is 3 miles west of Deweese, Nebraska, on County Road 302.
The church was a center of the Czech community for many years. Come see the inside of the historic church as well as the new shingles and the new outside paint job.
This open house is brought to you by the Clay County Historical Society and Ken Pavelka.
